What's it all about...

Part 1 - I play in two local covers bands Hard Rain and Big Sister, and rarely a gig goes by without someone wanting to get up and do a song with us. When they do, I'm often amazed how much talent there is out there...

Part 2 - In the days before TV and mass car ownership, live music at a local 'hop' or in a local pub was something to get excited about - it's about keeping this alive... about it being a part of the community and bringing people together.

Part 3 - With so much gloom in the news at the moment - it's about having a break from it and remembering what's really important - being with friends, meeting new people and enjoying the simple things in life - e.g a pint of Adnams and a nice tune!

I must mention a 'Big Thank You' to Keith and Karen for hosting the event and so enthusiastically supporting live music at the Black Lion for so many years.
